The MONARCH Charitable Organization was established in memory of Monica Williams, a beautiful daughter, sister, and aunt who passed away at the age of 38. Monica lost her 14 month battle with ovarian cancer on September 24, 2003.
Mission Statement:
The MONARCH Charitable Organization is a 501c3 organization working under the auspices of the Council of Community Services of New York State. We are dedicated to raising funds in support of scientific research for the treatment and cure of ovarian cancer. In addition, we seek to raise awareness of this deadly disease through our fundraising efforts.
2008 Walk
The Fifth Annual Monica Williams Walk for Ovarian Cancer will be held on July 5, 2008 in Lake Luzerne, NY. You can walk either 1 mile or 3.1 miles. This pleasant walk takes place in the quaint and historic town of Lake Luzerne on sidewalks and on quiet roadsides by the Hudson River. Walkers, runners, children, families and strollers are all welcome. We hold a raffle and silent auction after the walk. We will also have blank tags/bibs that are available to wear in honor of yourself or a loved one.
